Sharon Burch, an international presenter and author, shares her unique Freddie the Frog® books and teaching method at education conferences around the world. Burch incorporates games, storytelling and puppetry in teaching music and makes it easy for others to do the same. She authored the Freddie the Frog® book/CD series, a set of adventure stories introducing fundamental music concepts, along with ancillary teaching materials, a musical, Freddie the Frog® and the Mighty Meter Gnome (Lorenz Publishing), and a teacher’s book, Beyond the Books (Hal Leonard Publishing). Freddie is a well-loved frog by music students across the U.S., Canada, Australia, and other various parts of the globe. Sharon serves on the JEN (Jazz Education Network) Elementary Committee, holds a master’s degree as a Professional Educator, is a certified teacher with the International Piano Teaching Foundation, and a National Board Certified Teacher in Early and Middle Childhood Music.
