How a Classroom Music Teacher became an Entrepreneur
While teaching music in a small school in Iowa, I created a way to introduce young children to the basic elements of music through storytelling and a puppet. The magic of Freddie The Frog® doubled as my "hook" to keep young children engaged and focused. It worked so well that I wanted to find a way to share with other music teachers. Voila!
I became an entrepreneur out of a passion to share something that worked for me that could help others have similar results.
I was teaching over 500 students a year in a public school district, a wife, and a mom of two toddlers when I dove into self-publishing, marketing, promotion, and, thus, entrepreneurship.
IT WAS INSANE! But, passion drove me.
I had to figure out a way to get it all done. I found shortcuts and ways to automate tasks. I tested dozens of apps, software, and tools until I landed on the ones that worked for me.
IT WORKED!
Fast-forward a couple of decades, and my little green frog and his six storybooks are used by thousands of music teachers around the world and millions of students fall in love with Freddie and learn music every year.
In the process, I've honed my systems and automation to the point that I now continue to run my original business, guided a small team to set up automated systems to manage a global non-profit for five years, and, now, I help other entrepreneurs set up and streamline their systems with apps, assistants, and automation.
If this sounds like something you need, I'd love to help you set up and/or automate your business so that you can make an impact while making money and still have a life outside of work.
